The DMR was a personal project to complement my ODST suit. I got a cast copy of Tactonyx's DMR from Brandon McClain at the 405th. The darn thing weighed nearly 10 pounds and came broken; again, hot glue and polyurethane fix anything. Well, almost anything. The rifle features a picatinny rail for attachments, such as the scope or any floodlights, and a movable bolt. To make the rifle seem as realistic as possible, I painted the grey parts then painted the black parts with matte in some areas to resemble plastic, then gloss in other areas to replicate a metallic look. I never got around to applying decals to this rifle, but it still remains one of the most impressive display pieces I've ever made.
